Social media has become the most common marketing technique for small businesses.

Many small business owners get frustrated over finding the time or money to generate a flow of content. The answer may be sitting at the desks in your office: turn your workforce into a social media army.

StarbucksAdobe, and other big companies are already encouraging employees to share content on their own social media accounts.  They have seen great results, and you can as well.

One key element is making employees excited about taking part. Ask them what content they would be interested in sharing online, and engage in monthly brainstorming sessions with them. Just as you’d have a contest with customers to post a photo of themselves with your product, do the same thing with workers. And give them an incentive to participate. Also provide social media training to those who want or need it, and tools that make it easy for you to push out content to employees for re-sharing.
